Community Consultation

URBED’s philosophy is to work with all of the key players to develop a shared vision for an area. Most of our projects make use of our round-table conference technique to find common ground and generate fresh ideas. We have also been responsible for planning the community involvement process for a number of major development schemes.

Rochdale SUN - April Workshops:

Continuing URBED’s work with Rochdale Council and Rochdale Development Agency in their bid for second round Housing Market Renewal funding in Inner Rochdale a series of Design for Change workshops have been scheduled for April 2005. 15/03/05.

Glass House - Empowering residents and communities through design:

URBED have been running an urban design course for tenants for the Architecture Foundation's Glasshouse Project and the National Tenant Resource Centre .

Vision for Leeds: visioning exercise for Leeds Initiative involved seven work-shops with more than 600 people in the city.

Highbury Symposium: This ground-breaking symposium in Birmingham was a turning point in upgrading the city centre

More London Bridge: URBED is responsible for community involvement on the site where the London Assembly is being built
